Coffee begins to go stale a week after roasting. Since the days of local coffee roasters are long gone most of us have never had fresh coffee.

We buy green coffee beans from organic farmers and co-ops all over the world and roast them daily. We offer small batches (enough for a pot) on our self-serve porch store for $1.50 each. Better than Starbucks and a whole lot cheaper!

All I wanted was coffee like I had in Mexico
On a trip to Oaxaca City in Mexico many years ago I experienced coffee that was truly amazing. For years I searched for Oaxacan coffee. Even when I did find it in the occasional health food store, it didn't come close.

During a web search I learned about home roasting. It took us a few weeks to get the hang of it but were amazed to discover what really fresh coffee tasted like.

If you tried our coffee and find a bean you particularly like, we will do special orders. You can also specify a lighter of darker roast.
